We'll be holding our Annual Open Meeting (incorporating our AGM and updates):

Wednesday, 10th July 2019 from 7.00pm at St Gemma's,
329 Harrogate Road LS17 6QD.

Please not earlier time and different venue to previous years' meetings.

Agenda will include:

• Recycling and Waste Disposal with Gush Bambhrah from LCC
• Moortown Park
• Festive Lights
• Moortown Community Group's Activities including Moortown in Bloom.

There is no need to let us know you are coming: just turn up.

The Annual Open Meeting of Moortown Community Group was held on 11th July 2017. The minutes of the meeting are now available to view here. We would like to thank everyone who attended. We would also like to give special thanks to the volunteers who helped the committee with delivering invites and on the evening.

Moortown Community Group is working towards making Moortown Corner a pleasanter place to visit by transforming the space at the end of Allerton Grove into a small community garden. There will be new paving, planters with flowers and shrubs, seating, a notice board for local events and activities and an interpretation board.

We are applying to several funding bodies and donors to cover costs. Applications such as these often are more successful when there is a demonstration of local support for the project.  We are also now raising funds through inviting donations from members of the community group, residents and workers in Moortown and anyone else with an interest in improving Moortown.
