Minutes of Annual Open Meeting 2016

The Annual Open Meeting of Moortown Community Group was held on 12th July 2016. The minutes of the meeting are now available to view here. We would like to thank everyone who attended. We would also like to give special thanks to the volunteers who helped the committee with delivering invites and on the evening.

Moortown Community Garden

Moortown Community Group is working towards making Moortown Corner a pleasanter place to visit by transforming the space at the end of Allerton Grove into a small community garden. There will be new paving, planters with flowers and shrubs, seating, a notice board for local events and activities and an interpretation board.

We are applying to several funding bodies and donors to cover costs. Applications such as these often are more successful when there is a demonstration of local support for the project.  We are also now raising funds through inviting donations from members of the community group, residents and workers in Moortown and anyone else with an interest in improving Moortown.
